Singapore League Cup 2008

The Singapore League Cup is an annual soccer competition in Singapore. It is the second major cup competition in Singapore football, and has existed since 2007.
Singapore League Cup 2008, is officially known as 2008 Avaya - J&J League Cup due to sponsorship of Avaya and Jebsen & Jessen Communications and is the 2nd staging of the Singapore Cup.
Previously the cup was held in pre-season but has now been moved to mid-season. Woodlands Wellington won the first edition.
The cup is played over 4 rounds and has all 12 entrants from the S League. Last years top four sides get a bye to the Quarter-Final Stage.
The Grand Final will be played on 16 June at Jalan Besar Stadium.

The draw for the first knockout round was held on Tuesday, 13 May 2008 in Singapore. The first round matches kick off on 30 May. The matches are played on a one match basis. The winners advance to the Quarter-Final stage. Last years S League top four received a bye.
