Singapore Garden Festival

The Singapore Garden Festival (Chinese: 新加坡花园节) is an international garden and flower show held once every two years in Singapore. Unlike other garden shows around the world which tend to feature mainly domestic designers, the SGF is unique in being the first in the world to gather top international and local award-winning garden and floral designers to showcase their creations under one roof. It is organised by the National Parks Board of Singapore together with key partners like Agri-Food & Veterinary Authority of Singapore (AVA), Orchid Society of South East Asia (Singapore), Singapore Gardening Society and Singapore Tourism Board (STB).
The inaugural show, held at the Suntec City Convention Centre from December 16 to 25, 2006, attracted more than 200,000 visitors. The 2nd Show will be held at the same venue from July 25 to August 1, 2008. The Festival will be relocated to Singapore's Gardens by the Bay when it opens in phases from 2010.

Showcasing Southeast Asia’s rich and diverse heritage of orchids, the most diverse botanical family and the most important plant group in the international floriculture industry. Step into this floral wonderland and you will understand why it has inspired such passion from enthusiasts around the world. The Singapore Orchid Show at the SGF will also build up publicity for Singapore, who has won the rights to host the 2011 World Orchid Conference (WOC).
