[edit] The World´s End

Well, on 3rd of April, 2008 the title of the long-awaited "Third film" is revealed. It is called "The World´s End" for now... See www.peggster.net for reference, which in turn, took it´s own citation from the Guardian.

[edit] Fan Site as External Link

Why is a fansite listed as an external link for this article? If it's okay for that fansite to be listed, why not list all of them? I feel like external links should be official somehow. Perhaps there should a section titled "Fansites" if we're gonna provide fansites. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.12.100.45 (talk) 21:25, 23 March 2008 (UTC)

Well so far as I know, Peggster.net is the only fansite that Simon Pegg has formally aknowledged and given a sort-called "thumbs up". He even does interviews for the site... I dont think he has his own website, so this is probably as "official" as you´re gonna get.

[edit] Justifications?

The article describes him as a philanthropist, but offers not a single bit of evidence. Either the claim needs to be removed or it needs substantiating.

This is the talk page for discussing improvements to the Simon Pegg article.

Article policies

I'm no expert on the fellah, but surely

This article should comment on his long running association with Jessica Stevenson.

And it should also mention the rather brilliant series 'Asylum' which he starred in alongside Stevenson, Adam Bloom, Paul Tomkinson, and others. It's a much better prog than 'Hippies' and more worthy of note than his bried Land of the Dead cameo.

A proper Pegg fan should put this page right dammit!

Is he still in that new film with that famous girl in? 80.229.241.200 21:32, 13 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] he isn't dead

I've removed the claim that Pegg died in January 2006. He didn't, and it seems slightly suspicious that this false information snuck in there

[edit] Who took the photo?

Just curious. Its either a fan photo or Simon contributed it himself. Anyone know? --ISeeDeadPixels 19:39, 5 February 2007 (UTC)

The owner of [[1]] Flickr account. RHB Talk - Edits 19:48, 5 February 2007 (UTC)

Cheers! --ISeeDeadPixels 01:23, 14 February 2007 (UTC)

Um, isn't the picture for Pegg a bit... crap. Its image quality is non-existent. Mageslayer99 17:20, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
Yep. That's the problem with the way some editors are enforcing the fair use policy. There are two schools of thought: some feel that a high-quality copyrighted image is preferable to a crappy freely licensed one, but others disagree, and their view appears to be supported at the highest levels of Wikipedia. :/ —Josiah Rowe (talkcontribs) 17:46, 23 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Hot Fuzz

The fictitious village of Sandford was said [in the script] to be in Gloucestershire, not Somerset - which ties in nicely with the county where he was born! If you want to see a model village, go to Bourton on the Water :-) 80.1.72.245 17:58, 18 February 2007 (UTC)BP

[edit] Runner

I've noticed that Simon seems to do alot of running is his movies and his new movie is called "Run Fat Boy Run". Is he or was he at any point a runner or fitness freak, could we add this to his article? It might also be good to have a "cameo section" with where all the actors appear, i noticed a lot of them but I couldn't name the actors. Paige Master 04:10, 1 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Harry Potter

I've removed the following paragraph:

It was reported that Pegg wished to join the cast of the Harry Potter film franchise. It is rumoured that he is in the frame to play Bill Weasley, with the character due to make his debut appearance in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.

This is presented as a vague, unsourced rumor. If an interview with Pegg has been published in which he has said "I'd love to be in Harry Potter", then we can cite that interview. If the casting crew of any of the Harry Potter productions to date, or still in the planning stage, has publicly mentioned his name in connection with a character, then we can also use that. But the above isn't really compatible for verifiability. --Tony Sidaway 00:45, 16 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Any other info?

[edit] Oxford?

He was added to the page List of University of Oxford people. Is there any link?

[edit] The Boys

Why is it that every time I make put up information about Pegg's involvement with The Boys in the opening it gets deleted. His likeness was used, he became a fan, and he wrote the intro for the first bound volume. These are indisputable facts. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 170.140.93.2 (talk) 14:13, 14 March 2008 (UTC)
