[edit] Notability
In Wikipedia, "notability" has a specific meaning, more than the ordinary usage of the word. Per WP:notability: A topic is presumed to be notable if it has received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject. Notability requires objective evidence, without regard for the subjective personal judgments of editors.
To oversimplify, Wikipedia judges the importance of a subject by the number of mentions of the subject in newspapers or magazines. So the way to verify notability is to provide references to reliable sources. I also recommend that you read Wikipedia:Notability (people). Sbowers3 (talk) 15:48, 18 February 2008 (UTC)

If you are the Simon Hanning that the article is about please take notice of the tag on the article and expand it in order to format it more like a proper bio article. Sections like Early life, Career, etc with proper citations to show notability would be appreciated. Thank you. Jasynnash2 (talk) 15:27, 19 March 2008 (UTC)
- Ditto. The article really needs reliable sources to verify the content. Sbowers3 (talk) 16:25, 19 March 2008 (UTC)
- Also, you (User:SimonHanning) deleted information that you understandably did not like. In this case it was appropriate because it did not have a reliable source. Just be careful to not delete reliably sourced info - and also be careful not to add info without reliable sources. Frankly, nothing in the article right now has a reliable source and all of it could be deleted by a serious editor. (But should not be deleted by a vandal or someone making a point.)
