Simterp
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
SIMTERP is a computer simulation software. It is a portuguese acronym for Passengers Road Terminals SIMulator. This simulator software has the purpose of generate data related to internal moviments of terminal users, trip operators and terminal resources management and then to evalulate the operational performance of the terminal management. A Performance Evaluation Model was built for give a theoretic base in order to provide a consistent relationship between Terminal Management key performance indicators discovered by the author in his research made in the brazilian intercities road transportation system. The SIMTERP is a descriptive simulator model working with scenario concept, i.e. infrastruture, passengers and trips of the terminal are components of each scenario which can be configurable by users. After the configuration of how much days and samples will be necessary to measure the simulator will generate data and calculate the performance indexes prior modeled. The events will occur randomly considering users input of parameters and the simulation run on line in a minute-to-minute base.
