Simple English Bible
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Simple English Bible, originally published in 1980, was an attempt to present the Bible in easy to understand, modern English. It was translated by Dr. Stanley Morris, a Greek and Hebrew scholar, and is based on a limited 3000 word vocabulary and everyday sentence structure (www.allbibles.com). The Simple English Bible has been updated (with the help of over 1500 participants, according to the introduction) into the International English Bible, currently popularized as the "Extreme New Testament."
