Simone Grippo (born 12 December 1988) is a footballer from Italy and also holds a Swiss citizenship which is why he is able to play for the U-20 Swiss National Team. Simone Grippo who currently plays as midfielder in the Swiss for FC Basel U-21. FC Concordia Basel gave Simone Grippo the No.16 shirt.
Like Jayson Leutwiler, Grippo originally had a half season-long loan spell at FC Concordia Basel from FC Basel in order to improve on his footballing abilities however this loan was extended in December into a full season loan. He is known as one of the best young defensive-midfielders in Switzerland and if he improves to international level he could play for the Swiss or Italian national team.
