Simon Zadek

Dr Simon Zadek is Chief Executive of AccountAbility[1] and a Senior Fellow at John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. He is also an Honorary Professor at the University of South Africa’s Centre for Corporate Citizenship and sits on various Boards among which the International Advisory Board of Instituto Ethos, the Advisory Board of Generation Investment Management and the Board of the Employers’ Forum on Disability. In 2003 Dr Zadek was nominated a 'Global Leader of Tomorrow' by the World Economic Forum.[1]

Simon Zadek was previously engaged as a visiting professor at the Copenhagen Business School and development director of the New Economics Foundation. He is also among the founding chairs of the Ethical Trading Initiative.

Dr Zadek is an author and co-author of many publications, including Governing Partnership Governance (2006), The Logic of Collaborative Governance (2006)[2], Responsible Competitiveness: Reshaping Markets Through Responsible Business Practices (2005)[3] and Tomorrow's History (2004)[4]. His book, The Civil Corporation: the New Economy of Corporate Citizenship (2001)[5], exploring the development of the corporate social responsibility movement[2], was honoured with the Best Book Social Issues Award in 2006.[3]
