Talk:Silverbolt
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This article completely fails to mention Silverbolt's acrophobia, which creates interesting irony when one considers that he transforms into a passenger aeroplane. JIP | Talk 11:14, 12 July 2006 (UTC)
- Then what is this line? "Silverbolt was recreated from a "low-flying transport" (which is believed to be the cause of his fear of heights)..." user:mathewignash

[edit] Split
This article should be split - Beast Wars Silverbolt and the original are vastly different characters. It's not the same for say, G1 Prime and Armada Prime as they are two sligtly different instances of the exact same character in two universes. Silverbolt and Silverbolt exist in the same timeline and thus should be seperated.
I agree. silverbolt was a large enough character on his own to merit his own page. They should definately be split 69.141.78.155 18:34, 23 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Transmutate
Also, under BEAST Silverbolt, should Transmutate be mentioned? it was a powerful episode and gave some itneresting insight into Silverbolt's nature - and how he embraces the "strange".

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Autobot logo s.jpg
Image:Autobot logo s.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 22:00, 31 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Circuitbreaker-autobots.jpg
I've removed the image depicting a giant robot controlled by Circuit Breaker. The robot is made by pieces of several transformers, one of them being Silverbolt, but that doesn't make the image relevant enough for the article. Neither the image or the caption add important information about the character and such it's just a waste of space. 200.106.124.111 (talk) 00:08, 15 December 2007 (UTC)
I put the image back in. It's the combined form of several Autobots including Silverbolt, and it's illustrating the story mentioned in the text, and therefore is relivant. Anyone else have any opinions? Mathewignash (talk) 02:37, 15 December 2007 (UTC)
- It's not enough. The image doesn't add relevant info to the article. It's too generic. I'm gonna wait a week and if there aren't any other comments I'll remove it. 200.106.124.111 (talk) 06:23, 15 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Universe Silverbolt deco
What is the opinion here mentioning that Universe Silverbolt's deco is "similar" to the animated Beast Machines appearance? Mathewignash (talk) 01:38, 15 February 2008 (UTC)
- Other than sharing purple, not similar at all. Please stop pushing your fanon. --ItsWalky! (talk) 02:37, 15 February 2008 (UTC)
- That they're similar. This is not an objective measure. ' 02:48, 15 February 2008 (UTC)
- Please note the independent review calling his accent color "Yellow" - http://www.angelfire.com/scifi2/bbfortress4/unisilverbolt.html and another http://www.eyrie.org/~dvandom/BW/Universe/Deluxe1 and another http://tfarchive.com/toys/reviews/uni_silverbolt.phpMathewignash (talk) 02:53, 15 February 2008 (UTC)
- How does referring to two random reviews make you right? Or the comparison any less subjective? ' 03:01, 15 February 2008 (UTC)
- Three, and just confirming they are both purple with yellow highlights, not just one color in common - both.Mathewignash (talk) 03:13, 15 February 2008 (UTC)
- Congratulations, you just found three colorblind people. (Well, not really. Next to purple, green is just going to look yellow. That's how color perception works. You know. In science.) --ItsWalky! (talk) 16:43, 15 February 2008 (UTC)
- Do you not seriously understand the meaning of "subjective"? ' 16:58, 15 February 2008 (UTC)
- I am providing references to back up the same observation I made when describing the item in the article, and did it without insulting you or making snarky comments. Please return the favor and discuess this rationally. Thanks. Mathewignash (talk) 21:50, 15 February 2008 (UTC)
