Silverhair is a 1999 Stephen Baxter science-fiction novel from The Mammoth Trilogy. It is the first book of the trilogy. This story is about a female Mammoth named Silverhair. Set in the current day on an isolated island near the Arctic Circle, it tells of Silverhair's journey and life.
"Silverhair" is also the name of a race of pseudo-intelligent space-dwelling plants in Robert L. Forward's 1992 novel Timemaster.
