A sign frame is a relatively new method in the signage industry.
It is a frame, which can accept many types of sign substrates. The benefit of using a sign frame is that the sign graphics can be easily changed or updated without the need to replace the whole sign structure. Sign frames are usually used in modular signage systems and are a basic feature of Modular Curved Frame Technology (MCFT).
Sign frames are available for outdoor portable uses, and are created to fold flat and to accommodate existing signs. See examples here: http://letterbank.com/sidewalk.htm
