Sigmund Borgundvaag

Sigmund Borgundvaag is a Norwegian naval architect of offshore platform supply vessels. He is also the designer of the Abeille Bourbon salvage tug pictured here.
He worked as a naval architect for Rolls-Royce, becoming chief naval architect there from 1970-2006. He is known for the concept of 'UT-design, the basis of numerous off-shore installations. He was s resonsible for the construction of more than 600 vessels.
