Sigma Xi Delta (ΣΞΔ) is a local co-ed fraternity founded on October 31, 2003 at the College of Staten Island in New York City. The founders are Frances Amato, Jordan Ashkinazy, James Ross Bell, Jaime Bialer, and Christina Smilek. Sigma Xi Delta was founded by a small group of friends who did not like the fraternities and sororities on their college campus. They wanted something that would be different and unique. So they set out on a mission to change their lives and the lives of future members. Currently Sigma Xi Delta has Chapters and members at Kingsborough Community College and Touro College. The fraternity's mission is community service and community building; therefore membership is open to everyone.
