Sigma Phi Beta is a college fraternity for gay, straight, bisexual, and transgender men in college. It was founded at Arizona State University (ASU) on September 28th, 2003, and became the first exclsuively college-based LGBT fraternity to obtain recognition from a college's Interfraternity Council.
It organized as a national body on July 17th, 2005, adopting a constitution and bylaws and electing the first fraternity council.

Sigma Phi Beta requires members to be enrolled in a two-year or four-year degree granting institution and maintain satisfactory academic standing.
