Talk:Sifaka
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
There is no such species as Propithecus coronatus listed in ITIS, which claims to be complete in listing this genus. There are a P. diadema and a golden-crowned sifaka. Which is it?
- As you can see now, P. coronatus is no longer regarded as a species on its own, but as a subspecies P. deckenii coronatus, following Groves (see WP:PRIM). - UtherSRG 19:39, 9 Dec 2004 (UTC)
The maximum lifespan of sifaka is definately longer than that listed. I believe King et al. 2005 lists the maximum age for P d. edwardsi at 27 years....I'll have to check before changing the text though. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 67.172.158.197 (talk • contribs).
