I removed the reference to Hans von Luck from the See also. Can someone explain what their connection is?--imars 05:52, 28 April 2006 (UTC)

This guy is still alive? Holy shit. Excuse my language, but the mortality rate of German veterans of World War II (particular officers since they tended to be a little older) is usually higher than Western (or at least American) counterparts. I read his book back in 1998, I'm just slightly amazed is all. Shadowrun 11:14, 29 October 2006 (UTC)

I spoke to him on the phone about ten years ago. I called him at his home in Xenia, Ohio and we had a pleasant conversation which lasted about 15 to 20 minutes. Lilo was there, and they were getting ready to go out shopping. I sent him my copy of his book and he signed it and sent it back to me and we wrote to each other, I have kept the correspondance. He is a very interesting person, and a true gentleman. It was also very interesting to speak to him after having read his book. He has led quite a life and still keeps very fit. I do not see why a reference to Hans von Luck should be removed; nor, on the Luck page do I see why a reference to Knappe should be removed. Where is the harm? Some things can be passed over without comment, it is a potentially useful reference link. By the way if User:Imars insists on such pedantry, it would be better if he wrote: 'I have removed the reference to' rather than 'I removed the reference to'.
