A number of sieges have the name Siege of Jerusalem:

  • The Sack of Jerusalem (925 BC) by Egyptian pharaoh Shoshenq I, called Shishaq in the Bible
  • The Assyrian Siege of Jerusalem in 701 BC by Sennacherib, fighting a revolt against the Neo-Assyrian Empire
  • The Siege of Jerusalem (597 BC) by Nebuchadrezzar II, which crushed a rebellion in the Kingdom of Judah and resulted in deportation of King Jehoiachin to Babylon
  • The Siege of Jerusalem (587 BC) by Nebuchadrezzar II, who fought pharaoh Apries's attempt to invade Judah and ended in the destruction of both the city and the First Temple and the exile of many prominent citizens to Babylon
  • The Siege of Jerusalem (70) by Titus, ending the Great Jewish Revolt
  • The Siege of Jerusalem (614) by Shahrbaraz (Sassanid general) capturing the city from the Byzantines, part of the Roman-Persian Wars
  • The Siege of Jerusalem (637) by Umar, capturing the city from the Byzantine Empire
