January 31st 2007 was to be The Lakeside Cafe's 2nd birthday since its refurbishment. With an unfortunate fire that is thought to have started in the small cafe kitchen area, all this has now changed, as has the way that the scenic park will recieve visitors from far and wide.

The small playground to the left of the cafe will still recieve an amount of families, even though the cafe is no longer open to take in customers. The Ice Cream Van's presence for Cappacino's and Latte's will remain a big hit for many, as the great walk around the Lake will entertain the ducks, swans and other wild life there.

Exactly what happened to the Lakeside Cafe is unknown, but let's hope, for the protection from the elements on those lazy Sunday afternoons and, indeed, during the week, that they restore the building back to its original state.
