[edit] Sidhar and Sith / Sithe?

Hi All - Iam new to this work here, so I do not know if this has been brought up before: but has anyone wondered about how close the words Sith / Sithe of Irish / scottish legends sound to our very own Sidhas / Citta's? Along with the Mythical / Powerful beings connection? Coincidence? Probably... but sure makes you wonder

[edit] List of 84 Siddhas/Mahasiddhas

There is no so-called complete list of 84 Siddhas/Mahasiddhas. The list avialable in present Mahasiddha article is basicallly a list of Abhayadattashri (c. 12th century CE) (but not in proper order). There is another list from Tibetan/Buddhist source, the list of Vajrasana (c. 11th century CE). The list which was presented here is the list of Jyotirisvrara (14th century CE), which is different and from a Indian/Hindu source. The differences are important for understanding the topic. Before deletion one should understand a little about the topic.Joy1963 08:12, 30 July 2007 (UTC)
