[edit] Six Flags
The Kroffts produced a series of stage shows at Six Flags over Texas in the early 1970s which I think are worth noting in this article but do not have enough information to do it myself. These shows combined live action and puppetry. They changed every year--I suspect but do not know that they rotated between the various Six Flags parks. My recollection (I was around ten then) is that they were quite clever. Writing the above reminded me that one of the exhibitors--Coca-Cola, I believe--at Hemisfair, the 1968 world's fair in San Antonio, Texas, presented a Krofft puppet show. It featured H R Pufnstuf before his eponymous TV show.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 172.162.202.253 (talk • contribs) 00:36, 14 June 2007
- My dad mentioned this when we discussed the Kroffts today, and I found a little about it in one of the 30-some articles I read in a news database. I'll see what I can do to flesh that out; you're right about the rest of it, too — Pufnstuf became the mascot of HemisFair '68 and Coca Cola was involved.
