Sid Hobson

Sid Hobson (Australia) a rugby league footballer.

Described as a 'tough as teak' second rower, Hobson played 74 matches for the Eastern Suburbs club in the years 1944-49 in Australias major rugby league competition - the New South Wales Rugby League (NSWRL). Hobson was a member of Easts' 1945 premiership winning side.

Hobson also played for the rural NSW town of Young, the 'Cherry Pickers' .

In 1946 Hobson represented his state after being named as a reserve for NSW on 3 prevous occasions.
