I see you are a Sicilian (ciau, amicu!), and fan of Ancient Rome... you might consider coming to Vicipaedia, then. =] Salutamu! --Ioshus(talk) 16:54, 15 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Lost comment

I attempted to post a comment here when you initially introduced "illegal immigrant" language to the United States article, but the Wiki lost it. My apologies for the delay. While both "illegal immigrant" and "unauthorized migrant" are both correct, albeit slightly divisive, terms, the latter is preferred there because the source for the statement is a Census document that uses the second term. Out of respect for the United States Census Bureau and concern that they might give a slightly different definition to the two terms when they calculate population numbers, potentially invalidating the use of the source with other language, we should stick to their terminology in this particular instance. In the morning, there are exciting plans for a behind-the-scenes guided tour of the American Museum of Natural History.

In the afternoon, we will hold a session dedicated to discussing meta:Wikimedia New York City issues (see the last meeting's minutes).

In the evening, we'll share dinner and chat at a local restaurant, and (weather permitting) hold a late-night astronomy event at Columbia's telescopes.

[edit] Speedy deletion of Mr. Charrington (1984)

A tag has been placed on Mr. Charrington (1984) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Please, don't make a page about a fictional character. Please contribute information on the book's page. Thanks, Compwhiz II(Talk)(Contribs) 16:58, 20 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] AfD nomination of Mr. Charrington (1984)

I have nominated Mr. Charrington (1984), an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Mr. Charrington (1984). Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.
