Sibasish Mukhopadhyay

Sibasish Mukhopadhyay (born 17 October 1963 in Hooghly, West Bengal, India), is a noted poet of the Bengali. He won Krittibas Puroskar, 2000.

Among the poets of 90s working from West Bengal, India; Sibasish Mukhopadhyay is an important name. He started his writing career with the poem ‘Boy Meets Girl’ being published in renowned Bengali periodical Desh in 1992.

Besides writing poetry he is also engaged in different cultural activities like script writing for Television Serials and anchoring talk shows for Radio Channels. He also takes active part in theatrical productions in Kolkata.
