Caranx ignobilis or Giant Trevally Caranx ignobilis has been caught in Taal Lake and it's sole river, the Pansipit River. C. ignobilis is thought to make spawning runs in between Balayan Bay and the lake, using the river as a channel.
It is one of two species known as maliputo.
