Shridhar Tilve (b.1964)
A poet and critic of post-cold-war era of Marathi literature.
He has attempted a cosmology of semiotics in it’s (?) original context (?) and contemporary world-view. He coined the term ‘chouthi navata’ to the entire process of conversion of commodity to semiodity. As per his argument, the world in which we exist is nothing but a world of semioddity.
He has published Eaka Bharatiya Vidyarthe Udgar (92 poetry), Tikaharan (99 criticisms), Ka Vee (2004 poetry), Streevahini (2004 poetry), Decathlon (2005 poetry). His novel is in press and may be published in the future. His is working on a full-length article ‘Aatmacharitratil Kalpanic Kathane’ – (Touchy, Touchable and Untouchable).
His forthcoming book ‘Selected Works of Shridhar Tilve’ – a book compiled with a preface by Saleel Wagh - is in the press and expected in this year.
He has attended and represented at numerous scholarly seminars, symposiums and study circles and delivered lectures. He is publisher of Navniyatkalik (non-periodical) namely Sousthav for the last several years from Mumbai. Besides ‘Sousthav’ he has contributed to the editorial part of Abhidha.
