[edit] Biography
Shri Ramakrishna Saraswati Kshirsagar Swamiji born on Friday, 16 February 1934, on auspicious day of Falgun Shukla Trutiya in a small village viz. Raitale in the main village viz. Rahuri in the Parner Taluka of Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra State in India. His fathers name was Krushna, who was teacher. His mothers name was Radha. He was born in Marathi Rugvedi Deshastha Brahmin Family. At the age of seven, he experienced the Divine realization in form of 'Sakshatkar' (Divine Vision). Then, Shri Narasimha Saraswati Swamiji (of Gangapur), an incarnation of Lord Dattatreya himself, initiated Sadguru as his disciple by means of 'Drushtant' and instructed Him to perform 'sadhana' (penance). Sadguru had already performed 90 years of 'sadhana' in his previous life & he was instructed by his Guru to perform 'sadhana' for another 25 years. After completion of 25 years 'sadhana' his guru Shri Narasimha Saraswati Swamiji blessed Him and instructed Him to take up the mission of Preservation, Protection & Revitalization of Vedas. The work for Vedas that Sadguru have done was similar to Shri Adya Shankaracharyas work thousand years back.Swamiji led a life of a resplendent celibate with a difficult life similar to other divine incarnations like Sant Dnyaneshwara and Shri Ramkrishna Paramhansa.
Shri Ramakrishna Saraswati Kshirsagar Swamiji was boundless reservoir of compassion, love and divine power. Swamiji would instruct the devotees on the principles of 'Dharma' in a lucid and simple language. He did not give any public discourses; His guidance always had an informal setting and was dialogue between 'Guru' (teacher) and 'Shishya' (disciple). In the Guru-Shishya tradition, Swamiji's darshan is enough to remove the cobwebs of ignorance and create happiness and tranquility in one's mind. In the Guru-Shishya tradition, through mere 'darshan' of a true Guru atheists can turn into pious people. That is what the power of Real Guru is.
Swamiji formed Shri Datta Devasthan Trust and Vedant Nagar for the purpose of protection and propagation of the Vedas. Sadguru encouraged his devotees, to spread the importance of Vedas, propagate the principles of Vedanta and collect funds for this purpose through 'Bhiksha' (offerings) from the people. He asked his devotees to go to each house to explain the Mission that he has taken up for Humanity and seek the active participation of people. The importance of Vedas can't be explained only in words, as our world is originated from Vedas itself.Chanting of Vedas reduces the environmental problems which are not in human control & which may result in Mass Distructions viz. Volcanic Eruptions, Earthquakes, Sunamis etc. It can also completely control all the bad effects on living beings like effects of Pollution, heavy rains, Twisters & Torpidos etc.To organize the efforts for Vedas, Sadguru instructed his devotees to form 'Satsang Mandals' in various cities and today there are around 20 Satsang Centers in various cities in and out of Maharashtra. New Satsang Centers are coming up in different cities including countries like USA also, to participate in this Mass Movement.
The Guru Parampara emphasizes the importance of the Paduka Darshan. The darshan of Shri Narasimha Saraswati's Paduka in DattaDevasthan or The darshan of Shri Sadguru's Photograph gives the same Divine experience to everyone, the way we used to get before he left his embodied self in 1999.
