Oh My Goddess!

A goddess descends to your talk page

Hi, I noticed your username appears on this category and would like to invite you to take part in a general improvement drive on all articles relevant to Oh My Goddess! including character articles, episode articles and others. -- Cat chi? 21:39, 9 October 2007 (UTC)

I'd be glad to help. I assume this is about the recent discussion of making a list of Oh! My Goddess! Characters. I'll have to get my manga out. Showers 20:59, 10 October 2007 (UTC)
This isn't just about that. Episode articles were also mass merged. Fundamentally the articles are in low quality and lack proper sourcing. I would more than welcome manga sourcing. We can start with Belldandy or Lind (Oh My Goddess!). -- Cat chi? 21:02, 10 October 2007 (UTC)
Alright. I'll get started on Belldandy. Showers 21:04, 10 October 2007 (UTC)
Do you have out of universe sources? Such as interviews and etc? -- Cat chi? 21:07, 10 October 2007 (UTC)
Afraid not. Showers 21:19, 10 October 2007 (UTC)
English edition of the manga doesn't have such specials? A shame... -- Cat chi? 21:20, 10 October 2007 (UTC)
I honestly don't remember and I have to dig them out first though. I have a couple of thousand books in many boxes. I have to find them ;) I would consider those as in-universe however as they are published in the book and not by a independant organization such as some anime magazine or whatever.Showers 21:26, 10 October 2007 (UTC)
By in universe we mean story as it appears inside the manga. Out of universe information includes how a particular manga was developed how the author felt or feels how fans received it and etc. -- Cat chi? 21:31, 10 October 2007 (UTC)

The Ranma minor characters lists

Hi. Thanks for the help/back-up with the manga character lists. Is there any chance you could repeat it for the anime characters page, so I'm not arguing by myself? (I have yet to see a solid counter-argument to that it's visual entertainment and as such necessary for reader understanding to use images, but get the link instead of logic) Thanks in advance. Recent changes to InuYasha

Hello and Konnichiwa, Showers. I have a question for you regarding a edit done by you yesterday.

Earlier today, I discovered you made an edit yesterday on the talk page correcting spam, it says... But when I looked at the changes, it shows all of my replies on the page deleted, and now the talk page is protected. Was this your doing? If so, I would kindly like to know why- my replies were not spam.

I appologise if this was a false accusation on your part. Please understand that I am a new member, and am still not sure about how to do everything here at Wikipedia. :)

With all due respect, Mizu onna sango15 21:32, 28 October 2007 (UTC)

That was not me. You can go to the disscussion page and see who did with the history page. My edit was a reversion of the spam of user:Kelvin Martinez. He was advertising a scanlation website in the talk pages which is not allowed under Wikipedia rules. Showers 01:20, 29 October 2007 (UTC)
Thanks, Showers! Once again, I apologise for accusing you... I wish I knew more about how to use wiki! Mizu onna sango15 03:40, 29 October 2007 (UTC)
If you need any help or anything just ask. Here's a handy reference for basic Wikipeda polocies. WP:LOP Showers 01:24, 29 October 2007 (UTC)
Ok, I went and took a look. Seems like you posted in the archives by accident and user:JRSpriggs moved your posts to the Inuyasha talk page. You're not supposed to post in the archives. Honest mistake. You are supposed to start a new subject if you want to discuss an old subject from the archives. Hope that helps. If you have any more questions just ask. Showers 01:31, 29 October 2007 (UTC)
  • gasp* Ohh... Then what are the archives for? And you're supposed to start a new subject when replying to an old one? I don't quite understand-- How would someone know if you were replying to them or not?

Thanks, Showers! Mizu onna sango15 03:40, 29 October 2007 (UTC)

That's correct. You just start a new subject when replying to one of the old archived ones. Archives are simply there to show you what has been dicussed before.Showers 03:56, 29 October 2007 (UTC)

Harem

Please read what Harem (genre) is. The series Ranma ½ is not really a good example of one. Love Hina, on the other hand, is. Inclusively, WP:MOS-MANGA#Content tells us to use the most accurate categories/genres. See Bleach for example.

Regarding this bad faith revert, if I catch you using WP:UNDO on a good faith edit without leaving a proper edit summary again, you will receive a vandalism warning(s). Lord Sesshomaru (talkedits) 16:53, 1 November 2007 (UTC)

Tone down on the wikilawyering. WP:GAME Showers 19:48, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
It was discussed in the Ranma 1/2 talk page. If you want to reopen the discussion go ahead. The consensus at the time however was that Ranma 1/2 was harem genre. Showers 19:26, 1 November 2007 (UTC)

Burnsville, Minnesota

Both kevin dixion and david stang are prooved notable. Kevin dixon has direct link to the offical Milb website. David Stang is listed in the offical fcc database. --Shrimpoj 01:18, 8 November 2007 (UTC)

I don't believe the meet the "Significant coverage" requirment to be notable. My Dad is on the federal Health and Human Services government website but I hardly consider him notable. Showers 01:21, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
Well you are entitled to your opinion, I am entitled to mine. --Shrimpoj 01:27, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
An opinion formed using Wikipedia guidelines. WP:NOTE You have not given reliable sources that will prove significant coverage to meet notability guidelines. An opinion is not sufficient. 1 website link per person does not meet those requirements. Showers 01:31, 8 November 2007 (UTC)

3 Revert Rule

You have already violated the three-edit-revert rule WP:3RR please desist from making any more changes to Burnsville until consensus is reached at the talk page. .:DavuMaya:. 18:54, 9 November 2007 (UTC)

3 edit revert rule only aplys to edits made in 24 hours. The 3 edits I had done before were done the previous day. 1 was done the next. Showers 21:34, 9 November 2007 (UTC)
Guilt is something that everyone must accept sometimes. Your dedication to pointless notable people is not inspiring.

.:DavuMaya:. 21:43, 9 November 2007 (UTC) Here's your talk:

You are mistaken. I did not violate WP:3RR. It is true I did 4 edits. However 3 of them were done on Nov 8th. 1 was done on Nov 9th. WP:3RR only refers to reversions done within a 24 hour period. I did them on seperaste days. Your dedication to Wikipedia policy is inspiring if misguided in this case. Showers 21:39, 9 November 2007 (UTC)

Your comments are rather insulting if not also equally misguided. .:DavuMaya:. 21:46, 9 November 2007 (UTC)

How so? I thought I was complementing you by saying you were inspiring. I was not being sarcastic if that is what you thought. However, I do believe you are misguided by jumping on me because I waited 23 hours instead of 24. The difference in time is negilable. Showers 21:48, 9 November 2007 (UTC)
WP:3RR Rather, the rule is an "electric fence".[1] Editors may still be blocked even if they have made three or fewer reverts in a 24 hour period, if their behavior is clearly disruptive. Efforts to game the system, for example by persistently making three reverts each day or three reverts on each of a group of pages, cast an editor in a poor light and may result in blocks.' WP is not a game. .:DavuMaya:. 21:56, 9 November 2007 (UTC)
How was it disruptive? I have given clear reasons for my edits using Wikipedia policy and was reverted with no reasons given other than must learn to discuss (who made no effort to discuss other than saying "you have your opinion, I have mine") or giving any sources to prove notability. Showers 22:00, 9 November 2007 (UTC)
........ I'm done talking on this, I'd rather use my energy to build pages up and not quibble over Notable natives. .:DavuMaya:. 22:04, 9 November 2007 (UTC)

Joseph Brant

What source are you using which indicates that Joseph Brant was leader of half of the Indian force at Fort Stanwix as indicated in the American Revolutionary War article? Joseph Brant was only a minor Mohawk war chief. BradMajors (talk) 06:35, 6 December 2007 (UTC)

I reverted your unsourced edit since it directly conflicts with 1) the info you changed, 2) the Joseph Brant article, and 3) the Battle of Oriskany article where he is listed as a commander. Showers (talk) 07:37, 6 December 2007 (UTC)
I apologize. I misread it mean the forces of the Battle of Oriskany, not the forces marching to lay siege to Fort Stanwick. Showers (talk) 07:54, 6 December 2007 (UTC)
