[edit] Doctor Who episode titles
Hi, Shokuwarrior. Please don't add episode titles that haven't been confirmed by the BBC or another official source. Freemaagyeman.com, despite its name, is a fan site with no special authority. Wikipedia has a policy requiring reliable sources for all information, and the editors of List of Doctor Who serials are trying to enforce it. If you feel that we're being too strict, you may discuss the matter on the article's talk page, but please stop adding titles and removing the hidden text which exist to explain the policy to editors. Thank you. —Josiah Rowe (talk • contribs) 03:27, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
- Hi again, Shokuwarrior. My understanding is that freemaagyeman.com isn't actually Freema Agyeman's site, but a fansite devoted to her. Fan sites are generally not considered reliable sources for Wikipedia's purposes. You are correct that Wikipedia is the free encyclopedia that anyone can edit, but the contents of articles are subject to the consensus of participating editors. The previous consensus has been not to list episodes until they are confirmed by the BBC, Doctor Who Magazine, or another official source. Please do not continue to add these episode names to the article — however, if you wish to discuss the matter further, you are welcome to do so at Talk:List of Doctor Who serials or at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Doctor Who. Thanks. —Josiah Rowe (talk • contribs) 04:09, 21 February 2007 (UTC)

- I'm desperately trying to avoid breaking WP:3RR here! According to the press release at Outpost Gallifrey (click here), 'three new episode titles' will be revealed in DWM issue 380. As this isn't officially on sale until 1 March 2007, please refrain from adding links and/or articles for Blink (Doctor Who), The Sound of Drums (Doctor Who), Human Nature (Doctor Who episode) (the latter two currently redirect to List of Doctor Who serials) or any similar titles. Please revert your edits to the Series 3 section of List of Doctor Who serials. Thank you. Silver Nemesis 17:40, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
Hi, SHokuwarrior. I'd like to add my suport to those here who are asking you to stop adding unconfirmed titles to the list. While your first edits were doubtless in good faith, your continued editing after the situation has been explained borders on vandalism. Percy Snoodle 17:43, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Last of the Time Lords
Thank you for experimenting with the page Last of the Time Lords on Wikipedia. Your test worked, and it has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you may want to do. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia.--Rambutan (talk) 17:01, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Tables
Hi - thanks for your edit to List of Doctor Who DVD releases. Unfortunately, your edit broke the table. This was for two reasons:
- Although you added a comment saying "series 3 td carried down", you didn't update the rowspan of the series 3 cell; so it wasn't carried down.w
- You removed the line containing |}, so the table wasn't closed, and all the remaining content in the page was forced into the table.
Please see Help:Table if you have any questions about table syntax. Percy Snoodle 14:22, 13 April 2007 (UTC)
- Hi again - you've added another two rows, but not updated the rowspan. Please do take a look at Help:Table. Percy Snoodle 15:22, 13 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Captions
Hi, please don't change the captions to quotes. It was decided that they should be descriptive.--Rambutan (talk) 09:43, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
- Wikipedia works by consensus. It was decided by a group of editors - in fact I disagred - that the captions should not be quotes (for copyright reasons) but should instead be informative descriptions. We must respect the common decision: a majority desire non-quotey captions, so that's what happens. By the way, you should always sign your posts on talkpages, by typing --~~~~.--Rambutan (talk) 18:10, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] June 2007
Please do not use styles that are unusual or difficult to understand in articles, as you did to The Sound of Drums. There is a Manual of Style that should be followed. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Rambutan (talk) 08:54, 24 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Image tagging for Image:Jabf20.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Jabf20.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Harrypotter5dvd.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Harrypotter5dvd.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. [edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Harrypotter5dvd.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Harrypotter5dvd.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 04:41, 25 September 2007 (UTC)

Please do not add unsourced or original content. Doing so violates Wikipedia's verifiability policy. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Porcupine (prickle me! · contribs · status) 19:50, 16 October 2007 (UTC)
Please do not add unsourced or original content. Doing so violates Wikipedia's verifiability policy. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. You know this. You've been told about it before. So please just don't add stuff that's not sourced. Porcupine (prickle me! · contribs · status) 14:10, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
- The Time Crash is already listed. Please don't repeat it again.--Porcupine (prickle me! · contribs · status) 09:46, 22 October 2007 (UTC)
I happen to agree that "Time Crash" should be listed in the table, but it's my duty as a moderator to point this out:
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on List of Doctor Who serials. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. —Josiah Rowe (talk • contribs) 19:52, 22 October 2007 (UTC)

Why did you remove Jack? Will (talk) 20:02, 27 November 2007 (UTC)
- Oh, I see you didn't. Still, the source for Billie's return says three - Jack's return doesn't make him a companion again. Will (talk) 20:04, 27 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Voyage of the Damned (Doctor Who)
Please stop edit warring and discuss the change of image on the talk page. The previous image was already in danger of being deleted; we do not want to risk it having deleted again because of it being orphaned. Thank you. — Edokter • Talk • 17:00, 28 November 2007 (UTC)
I'm sorry, but the Eye Of Horus website is not a reliable source; even they have all cast labeled as "TBC" (to be confirmed). — Edokter • Talk • 22:00, 6 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Image:Voyageofthedamned.jpg
I have tagged Image:Voyageofthedamned.jpg as {{orphaned fairuse}}. In order for the image to be kept at Wikipedia, it must be included in at least one article. If this image is being used as a link target instead of displayed inline, please add {{not orphan}} to the image description page to prevent it being accidentally marked as orphaned again. This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits.
The next time you vandalize Wikipedia, you will be blocked from editing. This is because you have continued to add unsourced information after having ignored all these many warnings. Porcupine (prickle me! · contribs · status) 10:22, 9 December 2007 (UTC)

Hey, see this, please, before adding anything else - it's not out yet, so you can't have a copy!! —TreasuryTag talkcontribs 13:56, 5 March 2008 (UTC)
- The policy is that stuff has to be verifiable. Nobody has copies yet offically; if you happen to have found an early special one under a car, then that's no good to the rest of us. Please stop inserting the info, therefore. —TreasuryTag talkcontribs 14:08, 5 March 2008 (UTC)
Actually, if you have a copy; please read RTD's bit under "Gallifrey..." and say when the start date is supposed to be, then we can check if you're right when the right one comes out tomorrow. —TreasuryTag talkcontribs 14:09, 5 March 2008 (UTC)
