[edit] Your edits to Koryo-saram

Whether or not Tsoi should be considered Koryo-saram is a judgment which we leave up to the sources of the article, not your thinking or mine about blood quantums or whatever. Furthermore, don't misuse the undo function --- your revert also removed various other cleanup I did in the article, which I have now restored. cab (talk) 23:53, 10 February 2008 (UTC)

I am central asian myself, and while living there, he was never considered to be that, just a half korean, please respect this and remove the picture, thank you.Shogunpk (talk) 23:59, 10 February 2008 (UTC)
Furthermore, on any website you find about Koryo Saram, there is nothing about Viktor Tsoi, and any website about Viktor Tsoi, there is nothing about "Koryo Saram", only his father could be considered such a thing. Not only that, but Viktor Tsoi didn't even know Korean, putting his picture on the article is disrespect to both "Koryo Saram" people, and Viktor Tsoi.Shogunpk (talk) 00:02, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
I am clearly not the only editor who is of the opinion that Tsoi's picture should be included. Stop reverting based on your own opinion and find a source which states that Tsoi was not considered to be Korean (e.g. a book from an academic publisher, a newspaper or magazine article; something that's not just a random webpage or bulletin board) and we can discuss it at Talk:Koryo-saram. I already gave you a source that's much more reliable than someone's random webpage. Anyway, by the 1970s and 1980s, many Koryo-saram could not speak Korean, as you can see by the statistics [1]. Finally, please be aware of the three-revert rule, which you are quite close to breaking. cab (talk) 00:08, 11 February 2008 (UTC)

Why not pick someone who is 100% Korean? Or at least 100% Asian and had influence in Soviet culture, such as Nellie Kim, putting Viktor's picture is outright ridiculous, it states ETHNIC KOREANS, where does it say "oh people who happen to look Korean and are also part Russian, but we just ignore that part", it states ETHNIC, meaning it should be a picture who is full, I also don't care what revert rule I'm breaking, because I'm not vandalizing, I'm reverting the errors that you make, and you're not an op, so I'll stop when I get a warning from someone more credible, thanks.Shogunpk (talk) 00:21, 11 February 2008 (UTC)

"Ethnic" has no implication meaning 100%. We can put a note under his picture saying that he is not fully Korean if you are this concerned about it. Three different editors are of the opinion that the picture should be included. I have already told you what steps you should take if you want the picture removed; arguing more with me or deleting without reason isn't going to help. Finally, whether I'm an administrator or not has nothing to do with the three revert rule, which makes no distinction between vandalism and non-vandalism; it's designed to prevent edit warring. If you "don't care" what Wikipedia rules you're breaking, you shouldn't be editing here. cab (talk) 00:26, 11 February 2008 (UTC)

Definition from Merriam Webster:

of or relating to large groups of people classed according to common racial, national, tribal, religious, linguistic, or cultural origin or background <ethnic minorities> <ethnic enclaves> b: being a member of a specified ethnic group <an ethnic German> c: of, relating to, or characteristic of ethnics <ethnic neighborhoods> <ethnic foods>

Clearly it means to be part of a single race, not two.Shogunpk (talk) 00:28, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
