To get this to work on our mediawiki, I had to do the following:

1. Goto Wikipedia's Class page WP:Class
2. Find the section which talks about your skin type
3. Click on each of the MediaWiki:... items and copy the source code
4. On my wiki edit the following new templates:
   • MediaWiki:Common.css
   • MediaWiki:Monobook.css
   • MediaWiki:Monobook.js
5. Paste the source code from Wikipedia into my Wiki's templates
6. Click save
7. Goto Wikipedia's Template Template:ShowHide
8. Click Edit This Page
9. Copy the entire template
10. Create a new template on my wiki of the same name
11. Paste the template

Additionally I placed monobook/main.css and common/commonPrint.css into the files of the same name directly on the server.
