...in America, the definition of "short subject" was almost the same as the American definition of "featurette"? What was the point of having the word "featurette", then? And what exactly did they call films shorter than 20 minutes? Esn 11:12, 13 January 2007 (UTC)

  • Probably: the former does seem like both the most common term, and the contextually clearer. (Note that it's the main article for Cat:short films, for example, not Cat:short subjects.) Alai 17:22, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
