[edit] Why this article?
This article was created from three component articles on malls that may not have been notable enough in their own right. It has been called Niagra Falls - shopping facilities rather than Niagra Falls - shopping malls to enable a broader article to be written, hopefully to include encyclopaedic material on shopping facilities in Niagra Falls. - Well, it's certainly good that they're consolidated rather than separate, but I'm still not sure the subject matter merits an article. Can you imagine if "shopping facilities for X" are added for each and every mid/large-sized town? A, you can't do it for large cities because there would be too many shopping facilities; B, you can't really get one in for every comparably sized mid-sized town, because too many towns. I would suggest such an article needs some other indicia of notability. --LQ 03:35, 14 November 2006 (UTC)

- This article was created in accordance with Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Summit Park Mall as an agreed action. BlueValour 04:01, 14 November 2006 (UTC)

- There is actually still an article called The Summit Mall the new name for the Summit Park Mall). I have created a merger proposal for it to be merged into this page.

- BTW, I disagree with getting rid of this article. If you look at most of the shopping mall lists, such as Category:Shopping_malls_in_New_York, there's plenty of malls that are as or less insigificant than those in this article. Personally, I also think that Buffalo/Niagara Falls, NY is an interesting area to study the influence of shopping centres - it is a laboratory for observing how the Canadian dollar reaching parity with the US dollar, and the impact on suburban retail from a declining central city. - I have unsplit pending proper process. This mall was merged in here as the result of an AfD so a WP:DRV is needed to support a separate page. It was split out, again, as a content fork. Frankly, what is important is that the information is available and it is secondary whether the malls have their own page or in a joint article. BlueValour 19:29, 2 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Stub
I should welcome a more directly relevant stub, please. BlueValour 01:56, 23 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Introduction
I have left the introduction empty for someone with knowledge of the shopping facilities to write one! BlueValour 01:58, 23 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Jump the Falls
I have removed the extensive extract from this website. Though there is a comment that it was used with permission there is no acceptable evidence of this. In any case, many of the statements are tendentious and are not independently sourced. I have replaced the extract with an external link so it can be read on the original website. [edit] Fashion Outlets Niagara
Can someone please expand the Fashion Outlets at Niagara Falls USA section, it's been the same for weeks.Waluigi300 23:15, 17 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Rename
I understand this article was made to combine malls not as notable on their own, which is fine. But the name is a bit awkward, especially with the "-". Categories and lists use "Shopping malls in (location)", so I suggest this article title follow the same format. Any objections? --Vossanova o< 20:50, 6 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Article split
I have moved the article back to Shopping malls in Niagara Falls. The editor stated that this was a split - it wasn't, it was the deletion of two of the three sections since new articles were not created for two of the malls. There is also considerable doubt whether all three would survive AfDs - see Summit Park Mall. BlueValour 16:35, 20 April 2007 (UTC)
