[edit] General Information
The Show Me Center is a multipurpose arena located on the campus of Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.[1] Since opening the doors in 1987, this joint project between the City of Cape Girardeau and the university has matured into a regional facility serving the 250,000 residents of Southeast Missouri, Southern Illinois, and Western Kentucky. The facility's director, David B. Ross, CFE, opened the building on August 20, 1987. Ross finished a term as the president of the International Association of Assembly Managers in 2006.[2][3]
The Show Me Center, which annually hosts approximately 250 meeting room and 160 arena events, is an entertainment, meeting, and gathering center. The Show Me Center is also the home of the NCAA Division I Southeast Missouri State University Redhawks basketball teams, and seats 6,972 for such events.[4]
