The short-spiked bamboo or short-tassled bamboo, short spikelet bamboo (Brachystachyum densiflorum) is a species of bamboos, of the monotypic genus Brachystachyum. The genus names was formed from Greek and means precisely "short-spiked".

The species has one variety, Brachystachyum densiflorum var. villosum, referred to as hairy-sheathed short-spiked bamboo is English. The species is sometimes included in Semiarundinaria.
