[edit] Summary

A cropped screenshot of Microsoft Windows XP's taskbar, using the basic blue Luna theme used for the Home Edition of the product.

Also, the image shows a few common elements of a Windows XP taskbar including:

  • The basic setup of the "Quick Launch" icons, right of the "Start" menu, showing the "Show Desktop", "Windows Media Player", and "Internet Explorer" icons
  • A selection of two programs open, commonly used in Windows XP (Windows Media Player and Windows Internet Explorer), Internet Explorer focused to show different between selected and non selected programs
  • Task bar icons on the right including time, a basic set of taskbar background icons (Network Connection, Windows Defender, Sound Control), also showing the normal expansion icon for the area

This image falls under fair use due to it showing an element of the Windows XP Operating System, limited to under the 800x600 allowed image size for the license selected, and required to give a perception of the operating system style.
