Shmuel Hasfari

Shmuel Hasfari (sometimes spelled "Hasfary") is an Israeli playwright and screenwriter, author of such plays as "Kiddush", "Shivaa", "Hamets", "Acordionim", "Tashmad" and "Milano". His play "The Master of the House" (In Hebrew: "Eeshah. Ba-al. Bayit.") 2003 Award-winner for Best Play in Israel, and still running at the Cameri Theatre of Tel Aviv, received its American Premiere at the Laguna Playhouse in March 2007, directed by Richard Stein. Hasfari, a former artistic director of the Cameri Theatre, is married to actress and writer Hanna Azulai Hasfari. They have three sons and live in Tel Aviv. Hasfari's works are accessible through the Institute for Israeli Drama.
