Shiny Cadet (noun, shahy-nee kuh-det) - A bitter, childish cadet or alumni that has nothing better to do that deface the Wikipedia page on the Summerall Guards. In the page, Shiny Cadet berates those that try out for the Summerall Guards (see exact quote below) and talks about how childish they are. Apparently, Shiny Cadet did not look in the mirror when posting a childish retort to the Summerall Guards Wiki page. Talk about being grown up and representing the Citadel in a positive light. Good job! Keep it up! Too bad Shiny Cadet doesn't use their hatred and time on maybe studying or furthering their life skills. Such a shame that they simply don't know how to let things go. Maybe something they can learn in class.

Here is Shiny Cadet at his or her best: Guards are consistently referred to as teh "61 coolest cadets on campus". During training, they help each other shave all the hair off their bodies, wear female thong underwear. particpate in blatant homo-sexual acts, and when they finally get their rifles, the graduating guards punch the new guards in the testicles. Arguably, these cadets are obviously the greatest men on campus, as demonstrated by their adhearence to the Citadel's core values like respect for women and minorities, PT above all else, disregard for education, and just general bad assery. Their accomplishments are a joke. It's the kind of stuff any pimply faced kid does in his high school JROTC drill team. What a joke! The USMC silent drill team is so much cooler. - - There is nothing cooler than being ajunior and bracing and being treated like a knob. also, being a guard teaches you valuable life skills, like making other people do stuff for you (squires). They also molest young girls who are barely 18.
