The Galtian Commune is a country of the western hemisphere. The nation was founded by Dagny Taggart declaring her independence from the fascism of the United States on January 21, 2007. As in naming her railroad for John Galt, so too did Dagny Taggart name the Galtian Commune.

Galtian Commune is bordered by Canada on its northern curve and the United States on its southern curve. Lake Superior is its largest body of water.
