Does Shirley Manson bear any relation to the American musician Marilyn Manson? I think a quick clarifying note about whether they are related or just co-incidently have the same surname be placed in the article.

PS. The american musician, Marilyn Manson's REAL NAME is Brian Warner. Marilyn Manson was a name for the band, which was originally called 'Marilyn Manson and the Spooky Kids. The name, mm, just a twist between Marilyn Monroe and Charles Manson, as a metaphor-type thing. Meaning Marilyn Monroe had some bad in her and Charles Manson had some good in him.

So, no, I don't believe the two are related.

One, sign your bloody posts. Two, the article already states that they are not related. Three, I've got no idea why you are posting Marilyn Manson trivia here. This belongs on the Marilyn Manson talk page, or perhaps in that article. Canonblack 02:46, 10 June 2006 (UTC)

My research has her name spelt Shirley Anne Manson [1], [2], [3] [4], not as shown in the main article. Can someone verify either way ?

The last item in the trivia section about "pee and shit and menstrual blood" is salacious, but not particularly meaningful outside of her '10 Commandments'.
