[edit] Prod

I was see to find that the "bergstation" and the postal address for the tramway are Prod Lane. I wonder what prod means in their context. -- RHaworth (Talk | contribs) 16:49, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

I don't know the origin but the name is older than the Glen's 19th century Tramway and pleasure gardens. Although it's marked as dead end on most maps it actually connects to the path through the wood that the tramway was built parallel to so may well be an ancient lane. --Kaly99 (talk) 17:57, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
