Shiva Corporation

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Shiva Corporation was a company that specialized in computer networking and associated equipment.

Shiva acquired Spider Systems in 1995, which became Shiva Europe Ltd. Shiva Europe Ltd. was later renamed 'Spider Software Ltd' when one of the founders of Spider Systems bought it back the following year.

Shiva was acquired by Intel in October 1998 [1] during a lengthy class-action lawsuit in which it was alleged that it hid information concerning the deterioration of the company [2] and became part of the Intel Network Products Division.

In 2002 it was acquired by Simple Access Inc. and renamed, yet again, Shiva Corporation.
