Shirley Bassey discography

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This is the discography of Dame Shirley Bassey.

Bassey has sold approximately 135 million records worldwide as of January 2008.[citation needed] Shirley's biggest-selling albums are the Shirley Bassey Singles Album, peaking in 1975 at #2, and the limited edition double-vinyl gatefold LP Shirley Bassey 25th Anniversary Album, a platinum record charting at #3 in 1978. Her top ten album Something is her biggest-selling record, remaining in the UK album charts for six months. Goldfinger was the biggest-selling soundtrack of 1964 and a #1 U.S. album. Bassey has four number-one singles to her credit, including the number-one dance chart hit "History Repeating" (1997). In the late 90s Shirley also released a top ten music video, Divas are Forever. The definitive Greatest Hits CD This is My Life did less well on initial release, though its sales have now earned Bassey another gold disc. With thirty-two hits in the UK Singles Chart, plus thirty-five hit LPs in the corresponding UK Albums Chart, she has maitained her position as Britain's most successful female chart artist of all time.[citation needed]
