Shinji Hosoe (細江慎治 Hosoe Shinji?, born February 28, 1967), also known as MEGATEN and SamplingMasters MEGA, is a Japanese composer most famous for creating the in-game music of Ridge Racer, Keyboardmania 3rd mix and many early 90's Namco arcade games. He also produced the music for Xenosaga: Episode II. He was assisted by Yuki Kajiura on the project, though he did not return as a composer for Episode III. Recently, he helped compose the soundtrack for Game Republic's fantasy RPG, Folklore (Folksoul in Japan) for the PS3.
