Shimazu Toyohisa

Shimazu Toyohisa (島津 豊久? 1570 - 1600), son of Shimazu Iehisa, was a Japanese samurai who was a member of the Shimazu clan and nephew of Shimazu Yoshihiro. He served in the Battle of Kyushu against the Toyotomi. He fought bravely, but he charged ahead and was ambushed with his route off, but was saved by his uncle who was also fighting at the time. He also was said to be a participant in the battle of Sekigahara. His wife was the daughter of Shimazu Tadanaga, cousin and karo to Shimazu Yoshihisa.[1]
