Shibchar (Bengali: শিবচর) is an Upazila of Madaripur District in the Division of Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Shibchar is located at . It has 58085 units of house hold and total area 321.88 km².

As of 1991 Bangladesh census[1], Shibchar has a population of 306082. Males constitute are 51.46% of the population, and females 48.54%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 143975. Shibchar has an average literacy rate of 26.9% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate. [2]
