Shi Zhengrong

Dr Shi Zhengrong (施正荣, born c.1963[1]) is the founder,[1] chairman and chief executive officer of Suntech Power.

According to Forbes Magazine, he is the wealthiest person living in China, with a personal net worth of $2.2 billion US dollars as of March, 2006.[2] He has Australian citizenship.[3]

Dr Shi Zhengrong is a Christian. He is a graduate of the University of NSW's School of Photovoltaic and Renewable Energy Engineering.[4][5] He has donated funds for renewable energy research there "because he felt it was not getting an appropriate level of government support", according to Australian Greens Senator Christine Milne.[6]
