PythonX is a Robotic Structural Steel Fabrication System designed and manufactured by Burlington Automation, a company based in Burlington, Ontario, Canada.[1] It performs the functions of traditional structural steel CNC machinery such as a Beam Drilling Line, Beam Punching Line, Angle Line, Band Saw, Coping Machine and Plate processing line all on one machine.[2][3][4] The machine's main feature is that it eliminates material handling between fabrication operations and takes up the minimum floor space required to complete the operations. PythonX is the first system that was designed to directly accept and utilize all features available from detailing software including coping data, beveling information, layout marks, bolt hole positions, datum reference points and part marking.
PythonX accepts part data from design detailing software and uses it to create the cutting sequences. [9]
