[edit] Vandalism of this page

Just by looking at the recent edits, it seems like there has been a lot of vandalism as of late. I'm glad that someone is keeping up on these, but still, what do you think we should do about it?--Jgera5 18:43, 10 March 2006 (UTC)

Just have to clean up their messes after they've finished soiling our articles, and follow standard procedures to get persistent vandals blocked. See Wikipedia:Vandalism for more information. Not much else you can do. SchuminWeb (Talk) 01:50, 12 March 2006 (UTC)

I've anwered on your talk page, but essentially, the content you keep trying to add is potentially defamatory material that has no reliable source per Wikipedia:Verifiability policy. You'll need to find a source for that content. Dreadstar † 06:56, 22 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Restaurant Health Codes

There is no law (at least in Pennsylvania) requiring males working in a restaurant to be clean shaven. In fact, it is not even required that hair be restrained in a kitchen. However, most restaurants make these rules in-house to eliminate some customer complaints. In resonse to the first comment: I know a lot of people that work for Sheetz, and they said that they follow restaurant-style health code standards. Which considering how popular their MTO's are, it makes sense. I was the one who originally added that to begin with. Jgera5 03:52, 25 August 2006 (UTC)


I'm not debating what anyone has said. I'm just saying that there are no formal laws in Pennsylvania regarding hair restraint. I've been a restaurant manager in Pennsylvania for ten years now, and there has never been any law like that, although most of the public believes that there is. Local health departments and the PA Department of Agriculture are far more concerned with sanitation and temperature control than they are with hair, and that's why none of their rules mention it. However, most food service establishments do have internal rules to prevent hair and other "body parts" from finding its way into food or on to food preparation surfaces. But that's more for business reasons (customers don't like hair or fingernails or scabs in their food) than it is for health code reasons. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Primium mobile (talk • contribs) .

I tagged this article because everything on this page sounds like it was written as an advertisement. There is nothing about the two food-borne illness scares, just as an example. The list or superlatives is almost as long as the regular article. Primium mobile 15:50, 11 April 2007 (UTC)

I don't think that the article sounds too much like an advertisement. I've been watching this page for quite a while and the food-borne illness scares were never mentioned as far as I can remember. I think they should be mentioned, but nobody has taken the time to do so. I don't think this article contains any more superlatives as do most company Wikipedia articles (ie. Wawa). Some of it sounds like an ad, but you can probably change just a few things (delete, re-phrase) and make it much better. I've done a few changes. The facts most certainly need some other additions to represent a balanced neutral POV. Elpablo69 05:10, 17 April 2007 (UTC)

Can anyone verify where Sheetz and Wawa and the like get their gasoline? I understood they simply got it from "local" refineries, but there is nothing really solid I can add to the page based on that.. --Armandoban 19:02, 22 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Facts (aka Trivia) section of page

I disagree with SchuminWeb's removal of this section of the page. While I agree that some of the items should be removed due to lack of a citation, there are several items that were in the fact list that do indeed have citations. Trivia sections are generally not good to have in the first place. If it's cited, and it can be worked into the main text, then go for it. The trivia section, however, is staying gone. SchuminWeb (Talk) 18:12, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
Oh, I didn't realize that you had the final word on what stays in and out of a Wikipedia page. Can you provide me with some links to Wikipedia policy that supports your statement? Interesting. That same article states "Don't simply remove trivia sections, but seek to integrate each fact into the article in a more organized fashion."Shanafme 18:43, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
It was also almost entirely unsourced. The one bit with a source has been integrated into the article. It says on the {{unreferenced}} template that "Any material not supported by sources may be challenged and removed at any time," and I did. SchuminWeb (Talk) 19:28, 3 June 2007 (UTC)

Image:Sheetz Logo.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
