Shelby, Montana is a station stop for the Amtrak Empire Builder in Shelby, Montana. The station, served by Amtrak's daily Empire Builder, was the third-busiest stop in Montana in FY07 behind Whitefish, Montana and Havre. On average, it boarded or detrained forty-five passengers per day. The Empire Builder serves eleven other communities in the state.
