Salem Harahsheh

Mr Salem Harahsheh is a PhD Researcher at Bournemouth University, United Kingdom. He is doing research towards the image of Jordan as a tourism destination as expressed by British and Swedish tourists. He holds a BA degree in Business Administration from Yarmouk University 1988 and an MA of European Tourism Management from Bournemouth University 2002. His research interests include destination marketing, destination image, health tourism, religious tourism, heritage tourism, ecotourism, tourism impacts, and tourism and the media.

Mr Harahsheh was born in Al Mushayrifa, a small village in nothern Jordan north of the city of Jerash. He is fond of the sea, travel to different places and to speak different languages as well as confronting to different cultures.

Mr Harahsheh is married and have six children, three girls and three boys. He lives in Sweden since 1999 in the town of Borlänge, som 220 km northwest of Stockholm. He lived in Madrid and Bournemouth. He travelled in the whole Scandinavia, England, Germany, Spain, Netherlands and Italy.
